Today she shares her 5-Minute Beauty Confessions with The Beauty Studio Team.
1.What does beauty mean to you?
I associate beauty with cleanliness, elegance and a good heart. I find someone beautiful when they are neat, authentic and have good intentions.
2.What’s one of the best beauty products you’ve ever used and why?
I have used Nubian Cosmetic brushes, for someone like me who is a novice in the beauty industry, I found them quite helpful because they are labelled which makes it clear which brush is for what. I also love their lip-gloss as well, it has a small torch light inside and a side mirror, which makes it easy to apply without seeking for a mirror.
3.How has COVID and lockdown affected your beauty regime ?
I couldn’t go do to my hair and nails so that was an inconvenience for me because I like my nails to be neat. It was quite challenging.
4.What’s your biggest strength?
Creating relationships and nurturing them, I’m easy to trust and people feel comfortable in my space. I can put people at ease.
5.What’s a cause that is important to you?
Taking care of kids that are living in underprivileged conditions. One of my biggest goals I wish I could reach is to impact kids positively who don’t have resources to explore their full potential and capabilities.
6.What are the 3 things you can’t live without?
My family, my phone and my dresses.
7.How would you define yourself in three words?
Respectful, open minded and optimistic.
8.What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Don’t treat people differently based on their social standing, ranking and economic hierarchy. Treat everyone with respect.
9.What’s the last bit of self-care you performed?
I am starting to go for meditation classes, I really hope that will help me connect and revive my spirituality. I’m reading spiritual books and spending time nurturing myself lately and that’s great self-care for me. Peace and quiet has never been my reality and I really appreciate it a lot lately.
10.What does a successful 2022 look like to you?
If I can make at least one sale on my new online market business platform, and have a positive review from the customer, that would be a successful 2022 and the beginning of big things coming.
10.Would you like to nominate a wonderful woman and why (optional)
I think my mother is wonderful, I look up to her always, especially when I’m weak, I gain strength from just thinking about her. She is a powerhouse on her own, she doesn’t need to read motivational books or Youtube to gain strength to implement her projects, build houses, open a business, secure land, she goes and implements, she doesn’t cry and complain, she acts all the time and in anything she does it has become normal to her that there will be challenges. She believes in empowering other people, and she has a soft heart for kids living with disabilities, she loves to take care of kids. She is a retired teacher, she wants to impact people positively, she will put her time to support a child even when she is not being remunerated, and she does things only because she cares. She will fight anyone who has intentions of harming a child and she will make it her business to make sure the wellbeing of the child is good. She is a wonderful woman.
