Today she shares her 5-Minute Beauty Confessions with The Beauty Studio Team.
1.What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty to me means being natural, comfortable in my own skin, healthy and glowing. Everyone and everything is beautiful, cookie cutting and placing individuals into different boxes is so degrading. We all have insecurities and building on our positivity is what makes us beautiful.
2.What’s one of the best beauty products you’ve ever used and why?
Skinceuticals Phloretin CF is one of the best products I have used as it is a powerful vitamin C antioxidant. I love the fact that it gives me more then just sun protection and that it brightens and smoothens my skin. It adds that extra layer of protection from the sun and it leaves my skin feeling smooth with a glow. It only needs to used once daily and is completely absorbs with 15 minutes. It helps treat and prevent pigmentation.
3.How has COVID and lockdown affected your beauty regime ?
Skin care is very important to me, COVID has not affected my beauty regimen, being in the aesthetic industry, skin care is always a priority.
4.What’s your biggest strength?
Never giving up, no matter what challenges I may face I never give up.
5.What’s a cause that is important to you?
Gender based violence and women empowerment is very important for me. We live in a very male dominated society where women are not always taken seriously. Educating our women will always strengthen and help build a better society.
6.What are the 3 things you can’t live without?
A syringe in my hand, my skin care regime and my morning cup of coffee.
7.How would you define yourself in three words?
Creative, Passionate and ambitious.
8.What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
You can do everything you want to, always follow through and persist.
9.What’s the last bit of self-care you performed?
Taking time to paint and spending time with my family.
10.What does a successful 2022 look like to you?
Taking care of myself both physically and mentally. The last two years have taken a lot out of us all. I have learnt not to worry about how perfect everything should be but to appreciate what I have.
