Today she shares her 5-Minute Beauty Confessions with The Beauty Studio Team.

1.What does beauty mean to you?

We are all so different so it is difficult to define external beauty. So for me, beauty starts with the heart/soul. It then radiates outwards from there.

2.What’s one of the best beauty products you’ve ever used and why?

I struggle with dark marks so for me hyaluronic acid cream is a fav. It makes my skin so soft and it gently fades marks as well.

3.How has COVID and lockdown affected your beauty regime ?

it has definitely had a positive impact. My skin has had a chance to breathe because I no longer need to wear makeup everyday. I have also been able to drink water more water since I am working from home so I can run to the bathroom every 15 minutes 😉

4.What’s your biggest strength?

That’s a tough one, but I think I am resilient. I am able to power through and bounce back.

5.What’s a cause that is important to you?

I think it is definitely mental health awareness. There is so much stigma surrounding mental health issues like depression , especially in Christian circles and in the African community. But it is one of our biggest silent killers.

6.What are the 3 things you can’t live without?

My family, music, and good food.

7.How would you define yourself in three words?

How would you define yourself in three words? *fun-loving, compassionate, driven.

8.What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

“Live everyday as it it is your last.” This helps me to treat people with kindness as that is how I would want to be remembered.

9.What’s the last bit of self-care you performed?

Does taking a nap count as self-care? Because that is my favourite form of self-care when I feel tired or overwhelmed.

10.What does a successful 2021 look like to you?

Growth in all aspects of my life. In my relationships with loved ones and in my career.
