This week we speak to #WonderfulWoman Caeley van Doorn – National Sales Manager for hair & beauty distribution company, Twincare International. She shares her 5-Minute Beauty Confessions with The Beauty Studio Team.
1. What keeps you busy during the day?
As the National Sales Manager for two international nail brands and a local professional waxing brand, I’m usually out in the trade spending quality time with my clients and strategising new and innovative ways to help them grow their businesses.
2. Where do you live, work and play?
I moved to Johannesburg 15 months ago, although I am a Durbanite at heart. I am currently working for the largest professional hair & beauty distribution company in South Africa, Twincare International. I completely fell in love with the nightlife in Joburg and have really missed spending my weekends socializing with friends and networking at events – these days you can catch me out in nature or training in my garden.
3. What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty means feeling good about yourself, whether it is because you’re having a good hair day, your makeup is flawless, or you’re wearing those jeans that make you feel good. Beauty is having confidence in yourself.
4. What are 3 of your favourite beauty products?
Guinot Longue Vie Cellulaire – this is my go-to for anti-ageing face creams, even though I have a combination skin it doesn’t leave me feeling oily, just youthful.
Tigi Colour Goddess Treatment Mask – this smells like caramel (like you could pour it over ice-cream and enjoy) is super conditioning, and leaves my hair feeling smooth and silky.
Paul Mitchell Sugar Dry Cleanse – this is my favourite dry shampoo (every girl needs a dry shampoo) and I particularly love that it leaves no residue.
5. What does a successful 2021 look like to you?
Now that the beauty industry has been allowed to open its doors, I hope our clients can make up for lost revenue and our industry will not only survive this pandemic but rise above it. If we are conscious of our actions going forward, we can control them. I believe, if you visualise your year as an empty jar, what you are filling your jar with day by day, determines what you shall achieve.
